Theoretical Nanophotonics Group

Welcome to the Nanophotonics Theory group led by Dr. Alejandro Manjavacas

The main goals of our research are:

to understand the fundamentals of the light-matter interaction at the nanoscale,
to discover new physical phenomena in the field of nanophotonics,
to propose and design new applications exploiting these advances.

In order to achieve these goals we employ different analytical and numerical approaches.

Fellowships and award

Blas, Juanjo, and María have been awarded, respectively, a CAM, La Caixa, and a Juan de la Cierva fellowship. Juanra has been awarded the Best Poster prize in AES 2024. Congratulations to all of them!

Alejandro has been awarded the prestigious Miguel Catalan Award for Science in the category of researchers under 40 years.
